  2. Funding

    Award recipients shall receive a one-time payment of $5,000 as well as a Pegasus statue.

  3. Eligibility

    • Five years at the rank of tenured professor at UCF.
      • Deans are not eligible to apply
    • Have achieved excellence in teaching, research and/or creative activity.
    • Record of demonstrable service; and scope of national and international impact.

  4. Pegasus Professor Application

    Nominations will be submitted through Faculty Insight.

    INTENT TO NOMINATE: Submit this form by 11/6/26

    Application Materials and Steps:

    • Packet Build (submitted by the nominator)
      • Candidate Info Form
        • Nominator and nominee general information.
      • Letter of nomination from the applicant or from a UCF sponsor
      • Current curriculum vitae
      • Additional Letters of support
        • No more than three
        • 500-words each
        • From faculty members, staff members, alumni, or professional and community colleagues
          • Not from the chair/director or dean
    • Endorsement letter by the chair, director, or unit head (if applicable)
      • 250-word statement of support
    • Endorsement letter by the dean or vice president
      • 250-word statement of support

  5. Evaluation and Awards Process

    UCF Pegasus Professor awards are ultimately determined by the President or designee. All applicants will be notified of the outcome.
