Interdisciplinary Non-Tenure Earning (NTE) Faculty Community monthly forums provide professional and leadership development plus peer support. All NTE faculty are invited to join monthly in Zoom. This time is set aside to mentor/partner with other NTE faculty, to network and share best practices, and to request information.
NTE Faculty Communities promise to:
- Schedule A set place and time monthly for NTE faculty to partner with other NTE faculty on project teams.
- Offer A welcoming place for NTE faculty to network and share best practices with other NTE faculty.
- Provide Requested information/introductions prior to the next NTE meeting.
The spring 2021 meetings will be held via Zoom:
- January 20, 10:30-11:45 a.m. and 1:30 -2:45 p.m.

Non-tenure Earning Faculty Fellow Application Now Open
Faculty Excellence is announcing an open Faculty Fellow position to lead and support the Non-Tenure Earning Faculty Community for academic year 2021-2022.
Faculty Excellence is committed to strengthening and developing faculty. One strategy is to create communities for learning, mentoring, best practice sharing and networking. Communities are led by Faculty Fellows, who support faculty communities for nine months.
University of Central Florida faculty who are not on tenure track consistently number around 750 faculty. These 750 positions reflect over 40 unique titles. The largest population is lecturers, instructors, instructional designers, and librarians, including promotional levels of associate or senior faculty.
The first years of the community the Instructor and Lecturer Excellence Programs featured presenters from across the university in monthly workshops. Recent years have featured invited speakers on UCF strategies and initiatives as well as mentoring, coaching and creating supportive community across UCF.
The deadline to apply is March 31, 2021.
