UCF is proud to recognize its faculty members through multiple award programs that promote faculty excellence and productivity that advances our university’s mission. These awards are arranged through different areas, but coordinated through Faculty Excellence. Several awards come with base pay increases or other types of stipends.
Information for each award program are listed below.
Faculty Excellence supports deans, directors, chairs, and faculty administrators in the implementation of institutional policies and professional development activities related to teaching, research, and service to the university.
Please see the individual award links below for eligibility, criteria, deadlines, and the application process for each program.
Faculty members are awarded for outstanding teaching, advising, research, professional service, and librarianship.
The following Excellence Awards are selected at the college level:

Scroll & Quill Society
Faculty Excellence relaunched a streamlined and contemporary UCF Scroll & Quill Society. This society is based on two prestigious faculty clubs established in the 1980s to honor faculty members who brought recognition to the university through:
(a) The Quill, to recognize authored books and
(b) The Scroll, to recognize significant and sustained peer reviewed publications in national and international journals.
The 2017-18 application is now open. Click to apply online until Sept. 22, 2017.
Trustee Chair Award
Trustee Chair awards were established to both retain outstanding UCF faculty and attract exceptional faculty to UCF.
Trustee Chair appointments are for five years and have an annual stipend of $50,000. Up to $25,000 of the stipend can be used as a salary supplement. Each appointment has the potential of renewal with sustained preeminence.
